Respite, Anyone?
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for just a few minutes, including you. -Anne Lamott
Hello everyone! I hope you are well. Last week we enjoyed some cooler weather here in West Tennessee. It was a gorgeous week and much-needed respite from the wet and smothering hot weeks prior. It was a reminder and a calling I have had in my heart for a while. The idea of creating a space for women to connect and take a break from the “normal” of their life.
Rest will not come until we unburden our hearts! - Carol L. Maynard
So often, rest is an allusion to many. Why? Because lasting rest only comes from God. I have been there, working hard day in and day out to try to stay ahead of taking care of daily responsibilities and family, only to find I am worn out and so tired that if left alone for a few minutes, my anxiety peaks and I find myself walking the floors because it doesn’t feel normal. Or, I am drooling on myself as my head falls off my shoulder as I sit oblivious to my surroundings. Have you ever been there?
I am sure many of you have. That is why this newsletter contains a survey questionnaire to complete. Please answer each question based on your position in your own space, not based on anyone or anything else. I am not asking anything of you except the following:
If given an opportunity, would you carve out a space of time to do nothing but attend? You can participate, but that is left up to you. If your answer is YES, then I would like to ask for your honest responses below. If you have input and do not want to leave your comment here, please email me at CarolMaynard89@gmail.com for a private interaction.
Here we go…
That last question will always stand. Even if I do not get enough feedback to proceed with a lovely refreshing retreat, I am always available to anyone who wants to talk. There are so many looking for answers. I may not have all the answers, but I know One that does. I look forward to seeing all your votes and hope to speak with you soon. Thanks to everyone for staying with me while I have been away these last few months.
Until Next Time,
